What does church membership mean at Waco Baptist Church?
At Waco Baptist, church membership isn’t about adding names to a roll—it’s about saying, “This is my church. These are my people. I’m committed to growing and serving here, and I want to be accountable in my faith journey.”
In the New Testament, believers were not just loosely connected—they were gathered, identified, and committed to one another (Acts 2:42–47, Romans 12:4–5). Church membership follows that model: it's a public step of unity, stewardship, responsibility, and belonging.
When you join a church, you're saying, “You can count on me.” And in turn, the church says, “We’re here for you.”
If you’re already serving and connecting, praise God—that’s what the church is about. But we would love for you to consider making it official—not to add a requirement, but to affirm your relationship with this body and to help us walk in unity and purpose together.
