Our Beliefs

At Waco Baptist Church, our beliefs are grounded in the Word of God, the Bible, which we hold as the ultimate authority for faith and life. We are a church committed to following Jesus Christ, growing in His grace, and sharing His love with the world.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, completely true and authoritative for all areas of life. It reveals God’s plan of salvation and provides guidance for living a faithful Christian life (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

God

We believe in one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is eternal, all-powerful, and all-loving, and desires a personal relationship with each of us (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19).

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus, the Son of God, died for our sins and rose from the dead, offering forgiveness and eternal life to all who believe in Him (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10).

Baptism

We believe in believer’s baptism by immersion, as demonstrated in Scripture. Baptism symbolizes the believer’s identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and is a public declaration of faith (Romans 6:4, Matthew 28:19-20).

The Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers. We gather for worship, fellowship, teaching, and mission, seeking to glorify God and make disciples of all nations (Hebrews 10:25, Acts 2:42).

The Great Commission

We are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission, taking the good news of Jesus Christ to our community and the world. As a church, we seek to equip and encourage our members to share the gospel and make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20).
